Writing Biography

Lyric: Form: Freedom inform my writing. My poetry and prose experiments with the spatial and sculptural relations of text and space. My work is rooted in the metaphysics of 'harmony + efficiency', the minimal characteristics required to shape: temper: expand: cyclically direct an arc into a circle: sphere: vortex. Embodied perception, for me, is one of visible sacred geometry. Sacred, as the guiding intelligence of harmony+efficiency. Geometry, as the organic beauty of harmonious dimensionanity. The pursuit of a metaphysics of text and form has led me to exploring these themes as text and porcelain at the Royal College of Art, where the demarcation between fiction and non-fiction is transcended and disrupted. My portfolio pieces will be available here later in 2021. My writing is symbiotic to my porcelain practice that tests the threshold of harmony+efficiency in the three-dimensional form, a subject I have discussed with theoretical physicists and neuroscientists during my research. A third component of my practice is experimental meditation that explores the embodiment of harmony and efficiency as 'elevation', a perceptible flowing dynamic force. My life work is dedicated to the experience and interaction with these dynamic metaphysics as sculptural porcelain, creative essays and experimental elevation in meditation.

My writing is published in Bare Fiction, FirstWriter, Route 57, The Mechanic's Institute Review and Prometheus Dreaming. I first read philosophy as an undergraduate (Birkbeck) and as a research Masters (Glasgow) then English & Creative Writing as a Masters (Sheffield). I am trained in Kundalini Meditation and Yoga and practicing astrologer of 35 years. My sculpture and paintings have exhibited in The Mall Gallery (London), Blenheim Gallery (London) and Westminster City Hall.

The mares which carry me as far as my spirit ever aspired were escorting me, 
when they brought me and proceeded along the renowned road

On this path I was being brought, on it wise mares were bringing me 
 
like underlings and night bats to the heels of dragon wheels, hollowed
eternal beams pierced by temporal spokes
 
straining the chariot maidens were guiding the way 
 
blind companions enacting horseplay for the pleasure of 
fire and envy and cool reptilian love
 
The axle in the centre of the wheel was shrilling 
forth the bright sound of a musical pipe.

 
land locked sirens sending a prayer, calling up the seahorses 
of Atlantis to prepare for war
 
High in the sky they are filled by huge doors
of which avenging Justice holds the keys that fit them.1

by the illuminations of death and sex with a thunder cloud 
 
The maidens beguiled her with soft words and knowingly

to puncture like Mars without account and spread six legs 
like lashes of the eyes, feather extensions beating a path to Ovum
 
And a gaping chasm of the doors was produced by the gates' opening
which had set revolving in the sockets one after the other the brazen axes
fitted with bolts and pins. 

 
eyes falling from the sky pinning judgement and 
devout cherry pigment from the times of yore
 
Straight through them the maidens held the chariot and 
horses on the broad road.

of horses hooves, symmetrical in every way bar truth
